Research, internships, and work I've done.
HCI Lab
Researching domain-generalizable meta-learning architecture for physiological stress detection (EDA/HRV), utilizing latent feature optimization to minimize distribution shifts and triggering closed-loop interventions via signal-derived state policies.
Sep 2025 — Present
MAPS Lab & Faculty of Agriculture
Developing a stochastic particle model in PyTorch and GeoPandas that simulates food waste dispersion across Halifax, fitting emission rates to the city's municipal collection records through Bayesian inference.
May 2025 — Present
RBC Borealis (LSi – Cohort Fall 2025)
One of 8 teams selected across Canada for eelgrass mitigation research, built a PySpark pipeline on Databricks that ingested 40k sensor frames, extracted signal quality features, and wrote scores to Delta Lake.
Oct 2025 — Dec 2025
TD Bank Group
Built a multi-agent Q&A tool in LangChain and LangGraph backed by Bedrock, where agents queried Oracle with SQL and read Confluence pages, serving cited answers to software engineers and analysts through FastAPI.
Sep 2025 — Dec 2025
Tic Tec Toe (CSCI 3691 Client)
Built a research paper search app with React, TypeScript, Express.js, and PostgreSQL, adding a collaborative filtering layer that surfaced new papers for each user based on what similar readers had saved.
May 2025 — Aug 2025
Dalhousie Space Systems Lab (DSS)
Wrote Python pipelines to process satellite imagery for the payload team; used GDAL and Rasterio to correct geometric distortions.
Feb 2025 — Jul 2025
Seaspan ULC
Built a RAG pipeline that indexed 350 maintenance PDFs with Cohere embeddings in pgvector on PostgreSQL, letting the operations team search manuals and get answers with page-level citations through FastAPI.
Jan 2025 — Apr 2025
Omdena (Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team)
Built a cascaded inference pipeline injecting YOLOv9 bounding-box centroids as sparse prompts into Meta's SAM2 for zero-shot segmentation, implementing efficient data serialization caching strategies to drastically minimize critical I/O latency bottlenecks.
Jan 2025 — May 2025
Neuroimaging Probe Placement - Dalhousie University
Prototyped a non-invasive brain mapping method to identify probe placement spots by researching existing techniques and implementing a facial landmark-based approach.
Jan 2024 — Apr 2024
